Cam followers (studded track rollers) are designed for various types of tracks and are widely used in cam drives, conveyor systems, etc. They are based on needle roller or cylindrical roller bearings. Unlike ordinary bearings, they do not have an inner ring; instead, they use threaded solid studs (pins).
Their structure is similar to single-row and double-row supported rollers. The inner raceway is replaced by a large-section support bolt with a fixed thread and lubrication hole. Bolted rollers have a thicker outer ring and rolling elements with a specific outer surface profile, capable of withstanding large radial loads and axial forces caused by slight misalignment and tilting movements.

Unlike ball and roller bearings, whose dimensions refer to the inner diameter d, cam followers refer to the outer diameter D.

Axial Load Capacity: The integrated flange (stud head) and press-fit flange ring enable the cam follower to withstand axial loads caused by tilting or skewing.
Long Service Life: The curved outer ring running surface is beneficial for applications where the outer ring may be tilted relative to the track or where minimal edge stress is required.
Easy Installation: The threaded solid stud (pin) of the cam follower can be quickly and easily attached to the corresponding mechanical component using a hex nut.
